Mcdonalds has reopened their Brentford store in on the High Street opposite the Watermans for drive through customers.

It is part of a staggered reopening of their branches to control demand after trials had led to huge queues at some locations.

The Brentford branch is one of 168 drive-thru restaurants that are reopening across the country as well as another 22 which will be providing delivery.

Opening hours will be shorter than normal, between 11am and 10pm, while spending will be capped at £25.

There will also be a reduced menu, with no breakfasts or shakes available.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s said, “With fewer employees working in our kitchens and service areas, our teams will still need your patience and support as they continue to adjust to the new ways of working,”.

It is also encouraging customers planning to use the store to order ahead of time through their mobile phone app.

Perspex screens have been installed drive-thru windows and employees have been provided with protective equipment and will have their temperature taken before starting their shift.
