Brentford Man Charged With Murder of Rapper

A Brentford man was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with the murder of Craig Small.

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting outside a shop on Harrow Road in Monks Park at 8.10pm on Friday, 5 July have charged three people.

Craig Small died of his wounds in hospital shortly after being shot. Family members described him as a 'peacemaker' who had changed his life for the better after previously having issues with the law. He performed rap under the name Smallz and was was part of music collective USG and featured on K Koke's song 'Bizzy'.

Courtney Ellis, 34 of Mafeking Avenue, was arrested this Wednesday (11 September). He was charged on Thursday with murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and perverting the course of Justice.

Christopher Kyei, 32 of Radlett in Hertfordshire was charged with perverting the course of justice. Horaine Nicholas 29 of Wembley was charged on Thursday, 12 September with perverting the course of justice.

All three are remanded in custody to appear at Willesden Magistrates Court on Friday, 13 September.

A 28-year-old male arrested on Wednesday has been released under investigation.
