Heathfield Terrace was closed near the junction with Sutton Court Road this Thursday morning (10 October) following a collision between a car and a cyclist.

The male cyclist’s injuries are understood to be non-life threatening.

The driver of the car was not arrested.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We were called at 7:50am today (10 October) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist on Heathfield Terrace, Chiswick.

"We dispatched an ambulance crew to the scene. We treated a man at the scene for head injuries and took him to hospital."

The closure led to a heavy build-up of traffic in the Chiswick area. The police say the roads are in the process of being reopened.

The collision took place on the planned route of Cycleway 9 which is due to start construction in the next few months according to Transport for London. The location will not be a segretated pathway but will be designated as a ‘quietway’ with cycles in the same lane as general traffic.
