Hugh Grant Appeals For Return Of Script

Actor is victim of car break-in and urges thief to return his property

TV and film star Hugh Grant has appealed via the social media platform twitter after thieves broke into his car whilst parked in the area and stole a bag containing a script and medical cards.

Mr Grant, who returned to the UK last week after attending the Golden Globes ceremony in LA with his wife, Anna Eberstein, has asked members of the public for information on Twitter.

“In the unlikely chance that anyone knows who broke into my car tonight and stole my bag,” the Notting Hill star wrote. “Please try and persuade them to at least return my script.”

He said that the documents contained “many weeks worth of notes and ideas. And perhaps my children’s medical cards”.

The actor, who was nominated for a Globe for his role in the Russell T Davies comedy-drama A Very English Scandal, has three children with Eberstein, a Swedish television producer, as well as two from a previous relationship with Tinglan Hong.

His appeal has been retweeted over 3,000 times and Ealing Central and Acton MP Rupa Huq expressed her sorrow and has offered to help.

Grant has asked for the items be returned to Coach Films at Ealing Studios, Ealing Green, W5.
