Is Hammersmith Safe for Labour?
Would be interested to see what people who live in the constituency think. On the face of it Andy Slaughter should be re-elected with an increased majority - Labour won at the local elections, he has been a decent constituency MP from what I hear, the Tories locally have taken an inexplicable stance on hospital closures and, of course, there is a national swing to Labour. On the other hand demographic change in the constituency with more privately owned flats been built and reduced provision of social housing and Labour's honeymoon period at the local Council apparently over with the new administration continuing many of the policies they had previously criticised could mean to an increase in the Conservative vote. Unlike nationally I don't believe UKIP will make much of an impact on their vote. Also, some people think that the Tories bungled the last campaign by taking the seat for granted.
