Is there a new cat on/near St Elmo Road?

If so, it's fought with my cat twice in as many days and I spent until 3am with him at an emergency vet.  He has puncture wounds on his head and ears and has air 'trapped' between his skull and skin.He's on 3 different meds and is very unwell.If you're new to the area, please keep an eye on your cat until they can work out their territory.Marlene, do you know how this 'cat territory' works and what I can do?Gx

Hi CarolHe did have a collar when he was teeny weeny but it kept falling off and eventually I gave up.  Bit silly really as that's when he was literally stolen from St Elmo and I didn't see him for a week.  I'd love to get one of those tracker thingies but even if he had a collar, I fear I'd end up stalking him on line! ha haThat's so cute - fighting for your lap - awww.  We're so lucky to have these four legged friends <3xx

Hi Georgie.......Apologies I thought you had seen the bad boy.  Couple of years ago I used the paper collar as there was a lovely young black cat living outside my block of flats and I wanted to know if it was owned before I got it a home.  The only other thing I guess you could try is, if your puss has a collar, is to get one of those tracker devices (no idea how much they cost) to see where they may meet.I was lucky when I had my 2 boys as they were indoor cats and the only territory fight they had was who was going to be on my lap!Here's hoping the new boy soon learns he is not the only one in the areaBest wishes....Carol

Hi CarolThank you for your kind message!That's a great idea - clever you.  I don't know who the cat is though.  I've warned my neighbours who have cats that's there's a 'new kid on the block'.I guess it's in the hands of the Gods!!xx

Hi Georgie, Glad Archie is back safe.  Obviously this is a territory thing!  If you can get near this other cat, and are happy to do this, try putting a paper collar, secured at the ends with a bit of sellotape (if he gets caught paper will tear so he will not get trapped on anything) on him with a note something along the lines of "If this cat belongs to you please call..........". And if he is an entire tom maybe could politely suggest to the owners about having him neutered.

FOUND! Thank God.He was under a car on St Elmo.Does anyone know of a new cat in the area?  I assume it's a Tom. Please let me know.Thank youGeorgie

Archie has been bitten again and had an abscess lanced at the emergency vet late last night.  He is now wearing a vet's cone on his head.  I let him out this morning to go to the loo but he hasn't come back.  I've searched everywhere for him and am getting worried.  He needs his antibiotics.
