Affectionate Personal Care Assistant for elder lady with dementia

We are looking for a PA for an elderly lady with dementia and depression. We would like someone (DBA checked) building up a trustful relationship, having experience with dementia, carrying with empathy, patience, affections, assertiveness and being able to stand up to sometimes challenging behavior. Among the tasks would be support for basic needs as well as companionship (personal conversation, walks, social activities). One longer visit per day on up to 5 days per week, 15 pounds per hour, job might be shared by more than one PA. Please contact barba@wolke7.net if interested or recommending somebody.

Hello Barbara, I am responding to your job advert , because I am very interested in working with an elderly woman with these particular issues .  I have completed a Care Assistance Course with Chiswick Nursing Home . This included training for people with Dementia and DoLs. I have 3.5 years experience working with a visually impaired elderly gentleman with rheumatism . I am a PA / Carer to him and I support him in his own home . This involves general ablutions , such as bathing/ dressing . I make and cook breakfast and dinner. I manage admin, and banking and money transactions. I escort him to appointments with friends, family and GP and  The Hospital . I collect prescriptions and administer medication . I do hold a DBS Certificate with Christ Church in Chiswick. I can provide recent References .
