Lack of posts

Why does no one post here when W4 has a great turnover of conversation?Do a lot of people from the W12 area post on W4?Come on and get involved you miserable lot!!

Not for several years yet - I think BBC sport goes in 2011 - brilliantly timed for the LONDON Olympics. When I last went to Salford to have a look at the new development, it was a lot of plans and some very muddy holes in the ground - and that was only about six or eight months ago.BBBC chaps and chapesses have plenty of time to post on this forum yet awhile.

Thought many BBC personnel would be on their way to Manchester soon. I understand the TV Centre at Wood Lane is to be closed down over time.

This forum needs to advertise in Ariel or on the BBC website: the proportion of the local population who live here because of the BBC or work in one of the many BBC buildings, is astonishing...and this forum needs to tap into that market.

My Mum says Shepherd's Bush was thought to be up and coming when she was an undergraduate at Bedford College and living near the green.The problem was that that was in about 1950 and it never up and came!

Ah, but Barnet folk are a bit above the happy ordinary badinage indulged by the likes of us on EalingToday, BrentfordTW8, Shepherds BushW12 and ActonW3 - it's a bit too low brow for the good burghers of sunny Barnet Colin.  Ha ha.  ;-)

Good thing too Gerry, although it doesn't always happen. Barnet Today folded quite quickly in 2005.

I recall when EalingToday, BrentfordTW8 and ActonW3 had only a couple of postings a week. Now look at 'em! They're thriving!  I'm sure the excellent new ShepherdsBushW12 will grow in time - there are enough interesting posters already sending in their news, views, debates and gripes!

Well I 've just joined Paul, along with Gerry. Me? I live in Barnet now, but used to live in Acton Vale at the Askew Arms Junction, I was born there. Grew up just after the Trams ceased to be replaced by the dear old 607 Trolleybus. Brentford one week QPR the next. Used to fly model gliders on the 'Scrubs'. Went through the Blitz etc, plus V1 & V2S.Gerry will tell you, Ealing is Genial. What will 'The Bush' be like. Lively I hope, but not nasty.

Welcome to our forum, Jean! You're right - we do need to get out and spread the word so that more people will get involved. It would be nice to know what other Shepherds Bushers think about local issues.

Unfortunately it is similar on the Hammersmith site.  But I live in W6 and work in W12 so am a loyal supporter of both sites.
