I visited Westfield yesterday (Friday) for the first time since the manic opening week when you couldn't move for people. The main "streets" were quite busy, and the available seating, which I was pleased to see had been increased since November, was well used. Overall it was a pleasant shopping experience for someone like me who is definitely not "shopping mad". The M&S sale was over, and I couldn't help wondering how much profit they were making out of their rather empty store. Still, it was better stocked than their store at Kew which until now has been our nearest. If you're catching a bus home and you finish your shopping near the Next store, it's worth going to the nearby White City bus station where you might be the only person to board an empty bus, rather than trudging out with the crowds to the Shepherd's Bush bus stops by the Central Line station.
