Sadly Bob I think you are right. Rejuvination, 'Tarting up' in otherwords, will not in itself do anything unless draconian measures are taken to deal with the dross that infests these places now. It amazes me the powers that be agreed to a Shopping City that is located close to 'Sink Areas', some of the residents of which must think Christmas has come early. Could it be that this is why the BBC is running down their operations on the Wood Lane site?If you would like to see what Shepherds Bush Green used to be like, go to UTube and key in Trolleybuses. In the London section you will see a 607 for Uxbridge traversing The Green past the BBC TV Theatre, circa 1959, and later a lone 657 doing the same thing to the musical accompanyment of the Two Way Family Favorites signature tune. That was the way we were, just before the start of the decent down hill encouraged by naive politicians. Near the area that I now live in we have Wood Green Shopping City that has gone down hill over the years to now at times the status of an armed camp. Could that happen in Shepherds Bush? Probably!
