development of existing (listed?) buildings

The computer images of the new Westfield Centre indicate, that there is/was, the intention of having a new library in the centre. Is this just a proposed library, or is it an actual library?If we are to have a new library in Westfield, what are the plans for the present library building on the Uxbridge Road, dose anybody know?Also, The old Pavilion/Gaumont/Odeon building, on the west side of the green, has sadly stood forsaken for many years now, I know that when it was built it won a R.I.B.A. award and I might be mistaken but I think it may be listed; are there any plans to bring this impressive building back into public use. In the rush to develope and modernise, it would be a shame to loose some grand old buildings which are local landmarks.

The old Odeon building, if I am thinking of the correct one, is often used for events.  There have been a few occasions when I have walked past it on my way home and the shutters are up and drapes/curtains and carpets have been out.  In fact I thought it was used a couple of years ago to host the after show party for a music awards ceremony that took place in Hammersmith.

There is definitely going to be a new library in the Westfield centre, and the existing library on Uxbridge Road will be re-developed.Plans were announced several years ago to turn the old Odeon building into a hotel (retaining its external facade), but that was before the credit crunch and the BBC's decision to move to Salford!
