Major fire - avoid the Green - or Notting Hill

The fire in Shepherd's Bush Road is causing major congestion all the way back into Notting Hill. Traffic is pretty much at a standstill - so unless you are on a bike - don't go near the Bush.Still masses of poilce/fire etc in attendance and a few people wandering around in emergency blankets - looking OK though.Very nasty.

Tube or toes are the only way... I have walked it but it's a bit of a stretch. Shame still no tube at Shepherds Bush Central line though.

Thanks Sara, though not sure what that's going to be as I'm coming from Marble Arch to the corner of Askew/Goldhawk Road. I may even have to brave the tube...

This is what the BBC London site says - still chokka - I'd find another route A219 London - Shepherd's Bush Green closed both ways between the A402 Goldhawk Road junction and the Brook Green junction in Shepherds Bush, because of a building fire.
