A new route to Acton

Now that the new Shepherds Bush Overground/BR Station is open, and officially.incidentally, an interchange with the Central Line Station, it would be possible to reach Acton Central Station via Willesden Junction. Actonians might use this if the Uxbridge Road was congested,doubt if any residents of Shepherds Bush would want to do the same in the opposite direction, what do you think? Carol.Lina, All?

The BR station is directly opposite the central line tube station. A bit of a walk if you're coming on the hammersmith and city line, though.

I might give it a try but even if the Uxbridge Road was congested bus lanes would mean you could get more than half way to Westfield reasonably quickly and then walk the rest of the way. Or you could just walk up to East Acton tube.How easy is it to get from the BR station at Shepherd's Bush to the tube?

'fraid it is not something I would be able to comment on....I am very lucky in that I work in Shepherds Bush and live in Hammersmith so walk to work.  However (and yes I know this is very sad!) I want to "experience" the new overground station so will be taking a walk one lunchtime to Kensington Olympia station just so I can get a train back into the new station

Oh hello Fred.How are you? Yes beating a 'Hoodie' over the head with our Zimmers might do it rather quickly.Then later you could observe the trains passing from our vantage point in the 'Finishing School 'overlooking The Scrubs.

Start a fight in the new Westfield Centre, then wait to be chaufferred at high-speed, along the Uxbridge Road bus lane, and through red traffic lights, in the back of a police van.(Acton residents only)
