I don't particularly enjoy going to Headmasters or Toni and Guy so was wondering does anybody have any recommendations in the Shepherds Bush/Hammersmith area.

Churchfield Road W3: hairdressers for every taste. There's Sonia who seems mostly to do LOL and my son...Sonia Pro-hands who does all sorts (she's Iranian too) and has daughter Ellie in the basement doing fab pedicures and other beauty treatments - you should see my toes! Classix the barber: lots of Sky sports and lads' mags...the Iranian barber - can't recall his name but reliable and very cheap - only men...Asouba...specializing in West Indian styles....Anthony Bell: very cool and stylish and great with colour.I think I must have missed a couple more.

Do your researches extend to Acton? We run to about nine hairdressers in one road so it could take you some time.

I use Cocoon, formally George Lucas, this end of Chiswick High Road, opposite side of the road to the bus station and a bit further down. It's not cheap, but you get what you ask for, not what they want to give you.Jan

Try Enzo at Peoples Hair it is in the little side road on the right as you walk up Turnham Green Terrace, just by the park near the railway bridge

Ladies, thank you very much........see this is what is good about the forum, I would not have thought to look in either of these areas for hairdressers and now there are two positive recommendations.

Or come out Acton way and try Anthony Bell in Churchfield Road - his clientele come from miles around. Not the cheapest but probably the best int he area. Good on colour too. And offers Earl Gray tea in bone china cups and all the local gossip.

I can highly recommend Legend hairdressing on Uxbridge Road (near the Co-op). They charge me about half of what I used to pay at a very fancy place which just wasn't worth the money. Very friendly too.
