POWER failure at Westfield

Last Thursday at Westfield...anyone know why? Escalators moribund and stores closed with shutters down...even Debenhams...expensive! Still two huge mobile Scottish Electric generators out back blocking the rear bus lanes.

ANd now our road is the depot for Scottish and Southern Energy plant and mega skips while they sort out the electricity supply to Westfield. Residents of Macfarlane Road again have to put up with disruption, parking problems and noise for the sake of Westfield. And the generators are still there in case someone sticks a shovel through a vital cable blacking out the shops!

There must still be problems as they have three large mobile generator trucks (courtesy of Scottish Electric,) parked out back with a cascade of cables leading into the centre. These give off a noisy hum all night.

Rumour has it, one of Westfield's staff forgot to put 50p in the electricity meter . . .
