Proposed Tesco store on Uxbridge Road

I've just seen a licensing notice posted on the old Blockbuster site at the junction of Lime Grove/Uxbridge Road.  I wonder how this will affect local retailers? I personally think this can't be entirely a good move, especially if Tesco do any undercutting, many of the BIG FOUR try to do.How will it impact on Bush Market, for example?Your views, please.

Maybe this one will be less miserable than the one near Bromyard Avenue - which has a visions of hell feel about it.

There are enough Tesco stores around W6/12/W3 already...As for the future Sainsbury Askew Rd, our household plans to use it only for items we can't get in existing Askew Rd shops!

And of couse you must know now that they are building a Sainsbury's on the site of the old car wask on Askew Road. Said so in the local paper. I wonder how it'll affect local trade, especially the co-op.

Is it definitiely to be a Tesco store then? How dull! I hope it is better than the Tesco Express or Metro or whatever it is on Goldhawk Road, which is a grim little shop! I suppose that the Polish Supermarket might feel a slight effect, and of course Sainsburys Local on the Green.

There is already a big grocery in the W12 centre isn't there? And a M&S simply food attached to a garage...plus waitrose and all else in Westfield ad a Tesco in White City.Will this make that much difference given all the competition already?
