M&S vouchers error

Just a quick note to those of you who picked up the "Save £30 in January" vouchers from Marks and Spencer. There are 4 individual vouchers for £5 off when you spend £25 that are valid for a period of about a week - BUT the dates of validity are different on the front and back, so take care. I went in with mine sure as anything of my facts that the voucher expired on the 17th BUT the cashier said it had expired because the front said expired on 10th. ( it was the 12th)I think a problem at the printers is to blame but still a royal pain in the purse! I went back after checking my facts and got my fiver back but it was another trip and a wait at the customer service desk, plus a slight exchange involving persuasion.

At least you know that if you have a legitimate gripe with M&S, they will cough up. However I did notice that there was a little pile of vouchers in the bin behind the till and wondered how many people had presented the voucher, been told "no longer valid" and just assumed that they had been wrong! Presumably these vouchers are country wide??

Counter-effective if the purpose is to make you feel positive towards M&S and more likely to shop there.
