Shepherds Bush Broadway

Many of us will have received a letter from H&F 'Cracking Down on Crime' re Shepherds Bush Broadway Safer Nsighbourhood Team. Where is Shepherds Bush Broadway? And for that matter, where is the Shepherds Bush town centre?

I just think it is sad in general that everything that has any history attached to it is either demolished or turned into flats/bars.  Am sure Shepherds Bush Library will eventually become a bar, Hammersmith Palais is now a sorry looking state.  And when anything new is built it is usually out of character with the surrounding area, Westfield being a perfect example.  Could they not have at least made the facade along Wood Lane at least look like brickwork rather then a very old computer game that I think is called Bricks!

I guess so. The heart of Shepherds Bush needs no geographic description as there are discreet areas of different provision in terms of goods and retail. It is sad that Tesco grabbed the old Blockbuster premeses  and have given us moreof the same ole stuff, horridly designed store that it is

I have just found the address for Boots,    Address: The Broadway,  Concord Shopping Centre, Shepherds Bush,  W12 8PP  and the following info.....The Broadway Centre is at the end of Market Lane off Goldhawk Road.  If you are facing Shepherds Bush Market (at the Goldhawk Road end), Market Lane is on the right hand side adjacent to the Market. The walls of the Lane are painted dark red. The Centre is the large building with the sloping roof and there is a bell near to the front door.

Yes, indeed, but a Broadway to me conjures up a long straight road, businesses on both sides, type of thing, whereas the Green is more of a triangle. Goldhawk Rd, Shepherds Bush Road, Uxbridge Road, Askew Road are all mini-broadways. Is there or has there ever been a Sh B Broadway?

Have not received a letter but could they mean Shepherds Bush/Broadway........ie Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith Broadway Safer Neighbourhood Team.  And yes surely the centre must be the roads and area surrounding Shepherds Bush Green.

No idea about the Broadway but the cnetre must surely be around the Green - where else could it be?
