Viv. You should try living where I do - drug dealing, gangs, drug taking on my doorstep, food smells constantly everyday all day every year, dogs fighting and barking, street fights/gangs, dodgy dealings in cars outside the house, fly-tipping on both sides of the street and in my front garden (even people who live just up my street use my front garden to chuch their rubbish bins liners), food wrappers and food everyday, dog fowl all on the pavement, people begging for money on the street and corner (even prostitution!), nappies even thrown in the garden from people changing their babies in cars, people urinating on my house wall and across the road.  I've been complaining for years and so have the neighbours to LBHF!  And loud parties to boot and the council say they can't do anything about it especially if the offending home is association or council!!!  Maybe your side would be easier to live - would you like to swap?  And the amount of food grease on pavement is amazing - the council have not returned the bins they took years ago.  And the traffic, noise caused by Westfield affects us, too.  Also, the amount of light shines through our windows, especially on a cloudy night.  But then again, we also are affected by QPR - have you seen the fights near the pubs pre and post match?  We can watch them all!  Do you want to know more?  MOST IMPORTANTLY - SINCE WESTFIELD WAS OPENED - LIFE HAS ACTUALLY BEEN SLIGHTLY BETTER ESPECIALLY CRIME WISE AND I FEEL SAFER AND THE HOUSE HAS BEEN SAFER.

Isn't it gonna be a Bollywood cinema at W12?  W12 needs a special 'USP' market?  But is going 'down'market too much.  Maybe the people from Collindale should check it out! * 26 screens - fantastic - lots of variety and competition.  It seems many hate Westfield, or rather, a major 'large shopping centre' that message this website.  I wonder what the thousands and thousands think of people who shop/use and work there (the ordinary folk - a job! at least? practicality and 'green'  I use pubic transport only thereby saving CO2 burning! or walk)  26 screen cinema is great,  More variety and more comfort - why should I have to go to the West End to see a film, and into zone 1?!  It seems too often that the only people who go on discussion / message boards are mostly winges - the ones who know and appreciate keep quiet - so this message is in support of the positive and happy people who don't moan and belittle a 'shopping centre.'  I have lived here all my life and 20-30 years ago The Bush was a DUMP and crime was bad and transport was awful.  Now I feel safer, don't have to travel far - I love the Bush and having to go to Hammersmith or West End or wherever is a disservice to being here!!! HOME. THis is not 1970, anymore, let's improve the new Shopping Centre and community -  great for disabled and elderly too, and safer now in the Bush for kids and all, unlike the horrendous illegal offies and 24hr drug taking and boozing on the Green!  Which do you prefer? - we gotta care and we can't turn time back (and to what?)  Even up Uxbridge Rd has improved by leaps.  Let's be constructive and positive - the benefits are far greater than what the negative people say.  I am very poor - why should I struggle to go out of the Bush to satisfy people who hate a company name or reliable, safe and warm secure atmosphere of a shopping centre, job creation and improved public transport/access?  This is the ultimate in being 'local'
