Co-Op in Askew Road

Goodness me what an expensive shop!  I have not ventured down Askew Road in a very long time and was curious to see how much it had changed.  Sorry to see The Sun pub was closed but even more sorry to see the prices in the above said shop.  If, as I believe, there is a Tesco Metro being built where the old hand car wash used to be, the Co-Op I think will struggle if they continue to charge such prices.

Sainsburys are going where the old hand wash (former petrol station was)  There are new rumours that Tesco will be opening a store in the Bull and Bush pub (which is beside the library)

To have it on your door stop, it's great.  The Co-ops range for a the size of the shop is really good and the staff are helpful too.  On average, individual prices may be slightly more than a supermarket, but they also have lots of offers and BOGOF etc.Lavelli is a treasure.

But lucky you - the original Lavelli's is there too. And we are just basking - in Acton - in their new branch opening just yards away 9ho hum back to the gym) the coffee and cakes are fab.
