Prospective MPs In Foreign Policy Debate???

Is this headline accurate?In the front-page article it says that the prospective candidates have been invited to debate Middle East issues (NOT all of foreign policy)and it's sponsored/organised by a Palestinian lobbying organisation.But the article doesn't say that any or all of the candidates have accepted the invitation. Nor does the headline make clear that it's only on Palestinian issues.

No it isn't the MP's credentials or otherwise.It's just the headline says the candidates are attending - which is what most people would read and understnd to be true. It also says the debate is about foreign policy.Actually a careful reading shows that 1. There could be no candidates there at all - no acceptances mentioned - if I turned up on that basis, I would be rightly miffedand 2. It's not about British foreign policy in the election but on the problems of the Palestinians and from that perspective. Fair enough - but not clear in the headline.

Not sure what your point is here Sara. Discussion about the Middle East is a foreign policy debate. The article probably doesn't say who is attending because this is not known.If your point is that our MP is not that impartial on Middle Eastern matters I would share your concerns but why be so obtuse about it?
