I have managed to provide new homes for various appliances including a video player and feel better that they were neede,saved someone local some cash and did not go into land fill, cost council dump tax etc. It is a worthy network, especially in these days when we all have stuff that we do not want but would rather not dump. Ebay has becoem too huge and impenetrable. Simple is good. Street bank works.

Hi there.  Streetbank is now really taking off now in Hammersmith and Fulham with increasing numbers joining every day - it's all very exciting. I think it's a case of - the more you use it and spread the word, the better it gets and the idea of spreading the word in Chelsea and surrounding areas is a very good one too. The more the merrier!!

Now up to 24 within one mile of me and just over 1,000 in all - presumably wholly focussed on Hammersmith.So far have off-loaded vast numbers of videos - still have a couple of dozen left and no video player if anyone wants them.Have offered use of our big car for a move but not heard back and also offered a couple of pairs of curtains - one red velvet and one blue not velvet...free to a good - or even a manky - home. Going to charity shop on election day unless already claimed.

I'm in Acton and there are 17 people within one mile of me - don't think it's going to take over the world just yet!There is a facebook group for Acton, a twitter account and a LinkedIn one plus I have just set up a facebook group for the Churchfield Community Association.Not a huge amount happens on any of them!

as far aas i can see its for hammersmith and fulham area (borough) but if you have signed up and are in chiswick all the better - spread the word.  who knows we could perhaps be encouraged to be more community spirited. as long as the trust is there?
