Estate agents

I may possibly be selling my flat and moving soon (quite a big step for me, having lived in the borough for my whole life).There are clearly a number of estate agents that operate in our local area, but it’s difficult to identify which one to approach when from a superficial glance there’s little to distinguish them apart. The last time I had any contact with an estate agent was fifteen years ago!I was just wondering whether anybody has any recommendations or experiences of particular agents to share?Many thanks.

Thanks, that's interesting. I bought my current flat through Barnard Marcus in 1995, but they seem to get some very bad press from the reviews I've seen online. In contrast Jorgensen Turner receive favourable press, but they've not yet responded to the e-mail which I sent them.Personal recommendations are always the most valuable though, so thanks for your response.

I recently had to do with a purchase in Kilburn and found Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward easy to do business with. But that maybe only the specific West Hampstead office.ChiswickW4 hates Foxton's but that could swing you either way.
