Shepherds Bush W12
I feel privileged to be posting the first ever message on this website. Community sites like this are a fantastic way for people like me - the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for Shepherds Bush - to communicate with a far wider audience of residents and businesses than would otherwise be possible. So I urge readers of this site to feel free to "buttonhole" me on the issues that they want their local representatives to be focussing on. Whether it is your views on the West London Tram, the extension of the Congestion Charge Zone, the state of Shepherds Bush Green, litter, crime, jobs or the lack of them - I want to hear your thoughts. And in return, I will share my thoughts with you. This week I am going to start with the filthy streets that we have to endure week in, week out. When the Evening Standard begins to single out Shepherds Bush for its "squalid shambles", then I feel it is time to act. The Council seems not to care about the quality of the local environment that its residents live in. But local Conservatives and others DO CARE. And that is why throughout the Spring and Summer months, I will be out picking up rubbish myself - to improve the look of our streets and to make the point that we demand more from this very expensive Council. I ask you to be prepared to join me - I will use this site to publish the dates.Happy Easter!
