The massive gentrification of Notting Hill from Rachmanism in the 50's to what it is today massively helped and there has been, for a good few years a migration from there to here in order to get better value for money, which in turn has lead to property being cared for more and appealing to people with more 'sophisticated taste'. Also, love it or loath it, you can't ignore the influence of spending £1.5 Billion on a brownfield site to create Westfield. That has increased the profile of the area again and with the really positive spin-off of the increase in the transport infrastructure in particular - Wood Lane Tube station, the bus station, the circle line extension, the overground connection to the rail network. This weekend we may even have a Premiership football team!
