Blue disabled badge holders can now enjoy 4 hours free parking at Westfield in the car park. this is an improvement on the previous 2 hours, which was insufficient.

As of tomorrow, Blue Badge Holders will need to display a Zone G inactivated smart visitor permit alongside their blue badge in order to not risk getting a PCN if they park in residents bays in Macfarlane Road. There have been signs displayed on lampposts for at least the last couple of days.http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/59759/notices/1344791/all=Macfarlane;sort=newestThat might clear out some of the Blue Badge abusers.

The police have prosecuted over 100 people caught fraudulently using blue badges, but that is just an average weekend's worth here in Macfarlane Road. Westfield attracts all sorts of crime and offences like bees to the honey pot.

No I don't think so. They will continue to clutter up the residential streets and prevent residents from parking.

Do you think that will mean all the people who abuse the blue badge system will end up parking in Westfield now rather than in the surrounding streets?PS When I'm talking about abuse, I'm talking about those who have stolen badges or badges that they have no right to.
