Murder in North End Road: One Man Arrested


Man stabbed during fight outside Crescent Club

One man has been arrested by police in connection with a murder in North End Road, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 33 year-old man was stabbed during a fight outside the Crescent Club in West Kensington, W14.


Police say they were called shortly after 3am on Sunday, June 21, to reports of a fight involving several people in

North End Road. Officers and London Ambulance Service discovered a man suffering a stab wound.

The man was taken to a west London hospital where he died at 4:16am. The police believe they know the identity of the deceased, and have informed next of kin but await formal identification.

A post-mortem examination is taking place at Fulham Mortuary at 2pm today, Monday, June 22.

DCI Steven Lawrence from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command is leading the investigation. He said: " We are aware that a large fight took place outside The Crescent Club in North End Road shortly before 03.00 on Sunday morning.

"There was a Turkish themed event being held at the club called Istanbul night - we have spoken to many witnesses, however we need to speak to everyone that was there.

"Were you at the venue? Did you see a fight break out? Do you have any information that can help?"

The police say they are keeping an open mind regarding any motive. The man who has been arrested has been taken to a central London police station.
