Shock Sudden Closure for Kings Road's Imperial Arms

Among 11 shut down after operator Epic Pub Company falls into administration

The Imperial Arms on Kings Road, one of Fulham's last remaining Victorian pubs, has suddenly closed this week after the company which operated it collapsed into administration.

The Epic Pub Company, which has 11 pubs, has fallen into administration, and has appointed administrators FRP Advisory.

All 11 pubs have been closed and the administrators have instructed specialist agent Fleurets to market three of the pubs in London and the Home Counties, incuding The Imperial Arms.

The pub, at 577 Kings Road close to the border with Chelsea, is described as a Victorian period public house on the fashionable Kings Road and benefits from multiple trading areas and a courtyard garden to the rear. It is available as a leasehold assignment with offers invited.

The 150 year-old pub was reopened in February 2018 by Unique Hospitality Management, the company behind Epic Pubs, after a major makeover.

At the time, general manager Craig Delamare said: "We wanted to bring a pub back to the Fulham end of the King’s Road and re-establish The Imperial Arms at the heart of the local community."

Now a handwritten sign on the door announces the closure and says 'New owners and new pub coming soon'.

The Imperial Arms is at 577 King's Road.
