Elderly man left with serious injuries after collision

Witnesses and information are being sought by police investigating a hit and run incident on the Fulham Palace Road, Hammersmith last month. An elderly man was left with serious injuries in the collision which occurred at around 4.35pm on Monday, 21 May.

Officers are specifically appealing for information to trace a motorcycle involved - it is described as a black Suzuki GSXR750 with a registration of WV57 GZE. The rider was described as a man, wearing black and white motorcycle clothing.

The collision occurred as the motorcycle was filtering down the offside of a line of traffic near the junction with Greyhound Road. The pedestrian, aged in his eighties, was attempting to cross the road and collided with the side of the bike.

Witnesses report that the rider appeared to be aware that he had collided with the pedestrian but instead of stopping he rode off, turning down Greyhound Road.

London Ambulance Service attended and the victim was taken to hospital where he remains - while his condition is not life threatening he is still in a serious condition. His next of kin have been informed.
