Barrymore on Drink and Drugs Charges after Acton Crash

Entertainer due in Ealing Magistrates' Court on December 7

Entertainer Michael Barrymore has been charged with possession of cocaine and being drunk and disorderly after an early morning car crash last week in The Vale, Acton.

59 year-old Barrymore was held at 4.30am on Tuesday November 22 after a Citroen DS3 hit a kerb at the junction of The Vale and Dordrecht Road opposite Bromyard Avenue, where he is reported to have an apartment.

The entertainer was arrested with another man, and it is understood to be unclear who was at the wheel at the time of the crash.

Barrymore, born Michael Parker, was bailed pending further investigations and is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates' Court on December 7.
