You Chance to Be Part of a Bush Theatre Production

Join a taster workshop tomorrow for play to be performed in May

The Bush Theatre is inviting the local community to become involved in a show to be produced in the new year.

Working with drama company Look Left Look Right, The Bush in Uxbridge Road is devising a production based around the stories of people living in the area.

The show, which has yet to get a title but is to be performed in May, will emerge from a series of workshops, with the next being held tomorrow, Tuesday December 8 from 6-9pm, with refreshments being served.

The concept, being produced with the Look Left Look Right theatre company, is to develop stories from residents from all walks of life into a piece of drama to celebrate the people and diversity of Shepherds Bush.

"It’s an exciting new project that will see us creating a new, unique piece of theatre with members of the local community working alongside us as collaborators and performers," says Amanda Castro, Bush Theatre community producer.

"It will be heavily influenced by those taking part; we’ll be guided by the community, and they’ll feed into what it’s all about."

No previous drama experience is needed… just enthusiasm.

The drama will be based on community stories, but will also feature members of the public on stage.

The production will start rehearsals in January.
