Monday, October 4: Tube Strike Underway


Every tube line affected by union action

Strike action by the RMT and TSSA unions will affect tube services across London throughout today, Monday October 4.

In West London, Transport for London reports that:

The Central and Circle Lines are both suspended.

The District Line is suspended between Earls Court and Edgware Road, and between Earls Court and Kensington Olympia and between between Turnham Green and Richmond.

Trains are operating between Ealing Broadway / Wimbledon and Barking only and some stations are closed.

The Hammersmith and City Line is suspended between Shepherds Bush Market and Hammersmith and between between Baker Street and Barking. Trains are operating between Baker Street and Shepherds Bush Market only and some stations are closed.

The Piccadilly Line is suspended between Uxbridge and King's Cross St. Pancras.

The Northern Line has a special service running, with some stations being closed.

Transport for London says bus services are being boosted and special chartered river services will operate every 10 - 15 minutes at morning and afternoon peak times. London Overground and Tramlink services will operate as normal.

Londoners who own a bike are being encouraged to cycle to work. There are cycling and walking journey planners on TfL's home page
