Local train services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel this month the following lines are affected by engineering works in January.

District

Sunday 19 January

No service between Turnham Green and Richmond. Replacement buses operate.

Turnham Green - Gunnersbury - Kew Gardens - Richmond

Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January

No service between South Harrow and Uxbridge while we replace track at Ruislip. Replacement buses operate.

Service A: Uxbridge - Hillingdon - Ickenham - West Ruislip (for Central line and National Rail) - Ruislip - Ruislip Manor - Eastcote - Rayners Lane - South Harrow - West Harrow (Treve Avenue) - Harrow-on-the-Hill

Sunday 19 January, no service between Richmond and Willesden Junction (replacement buses operate), and no service between Clapham Junction and Kensington (Olympia).

Richmond - Kew Gardens (Victoria Gate)- Gunnersbury - South Acton - Acton Central - Willesden Junction

(The District line is also suspended between Richmond and Turnham Green)

For customers travelling between Clapham Junction and Kensington (Olympia), Southern services will also be suspended between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction, but valid rail tickets will be accepted on local buses via any reasonable route between Clpaham Junction and Kensington (Olympia)

Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January 2014

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction and all South West Trains lines in the Wimbledon, Surbiton and Kingston areas will be closed all day Sunday for renewal and maintenance work. No train services will run between Clapham Junction and Surbiton, or between Clapham Junction and Strawberry Hill via Wimbledon.
Until early Sunday afternoon all lines in the Surbiton area will also be closed.

South West Trains services will use platforms 3 to 6 at Clapham Junction and platforms 2 to 4 at Vauxhall. Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.
A limited train service to routes via Epsom will run from platform 1 at Raynes Park.

This work will affect services throughout the South West Trains area and all passengers should confirm times before travelling.

The following trains will run to and from London Waterloo but make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times.  Many services will start earlier than normal from London Waterloo.

  • Between London Waterloo and Weymouth (see also work west of Wareham).
  • Between London Waterloo and Poole / Portsmouth via Eastleigh.
  • One train every two hours between London Waterloo, Salisbury and Exeter.
  • Between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Haslemere.
  • An hourly service between London Waterloo and Basingstoke / Alton.
  • Between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Richmond (altered service).
  • Between London Waterloo and Reading.
  • Between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside. One train an hour will run on this route throughout the day.
  • Between London Waterloo and Woking via Hounslow and Staines.

The following services will be altered all day as shown below and passengers may need to change trains to complete their journeys.

  • Remaining services between London Waterloo and Yeovil Junction / Exeter will only run west of Basingstoke.
  • An additional train will run each hour from mid-afternoon between Woking and Basingstoke.
  • Trains will run between Raynes Park and Dorking / Guildford via Epsom. Passengers use replacement bus services between Clapham Junction and Raynes Park or Southern train services between Clapham Junction and Epsom.
  • Replacement bus services will run between Clapham Junction and Chessington South.
  • Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton will run via Richmond instead of via Wimbledon. “Kingston Loop” trains will be altered to run between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Richmond.
  • Replacement buses will run between Clapham Junction and Twickenham via Wimbledon and Kingston.

The following services will be replaced by busesfrom Clapham Junction.

  • Stopping services to Guildford via Woking.
  • Services to Hampton Court.
  • Services to Guildford via Cobham.  Bus services will run between Clapham Junction and EffinghamJunction to connect with trains via Epsom.

No service between Turnham Green and Richmond. Replacement buses operate.
