Nominate Your Favourite Local Restaurant for an Award

And you could win a case of Moet & Chandon champagne!

Do you have a favourite neighbourhood restaurant? Now is the time to nominate it for an award - and be in with a chance of winning a case of champagne.

The Good Food Guide has launched its search for this year's Local Restaurant of the Year and is asking the public to nominate restaurants that:

Are independently run
Are owned by the chef or a hands-on proprietor
Are committed to local produce in line with the seasons
Can demonstrate a strong relationship with local suppliers
Have a commitment to the local community
Offer regularly changing menus at reasonable prices
Are family friendly
Give a genuine warm welcome
And show a passion for delivering all of the above.

If you think you know a restaurant that fits the bill, nominate it online by the closing date of May 16 and your name will be entered into a prize draw to win a case of Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut NV from Waitrosecellar.com.

A shortlist of up to three restaurants from each of ten regions will be selected, and a
finalist will be selected from each region. The finalists will then be visited by an anonymous Good Food Guide inspector and an overall winner chosen.

If you have any queries about the competition For any queries, contact editors@thegoodfoodguide.co.uk. The editors say they are currently experiencing high volumes of email, but will endeavour to answer your query as soon as possible.
