Age UK Holds Lectures on The Great War


Gain hands-on experience of life in the trenches over next four Thursdays

Age UK Hammersmith and Fulham is hosting four weekly lectures on The Great War at its centre in Greyhound Road beginning this Thursday, January 15 at 2.30pm.

The series of lectures offer hands-on experience of life in the trenches and will discuss the weapons, tactics and equipment used in the conflict, including displays of guns and other artefacts.

The lectures are:

1914-15 Expectations - January 15

1916: Kitchener’s Army - January 22

1917: Sacrifice - January 29

1918: Victory - February 5

All lectures start at 2.30pm and will be given by David Siggers of The Great War Society, with entry costing £3.
