Naama Deli is Voted Best Business in Shepherd's Bush

Petit Miracles and Detour Cafe also winners at Brilliant Business Awards

Naama Deli on Uxbridge Road has been named Best Shepherd's Bush Business at the 2016 H&F Brilliant Business Awards, held on Thursday 17 November at Hammersmith Town Hall.

This is the second year the popular Lebanese butcher and grill has won the public vote through overwhelming support from local customers.

The publice vote invites residents to vote for top businesses in Hammersmith, Fulham and Shepherd's Bush and this year attracted almost 3,000 votes.

Among the Judges' Awards, voted on by a panel of experts, Petit Miracles was named Best Creative Business. The picture below shows the team after receiving their award from HammersmithLondon's Rupert Basham.

Petit Miracles, based in the West12 Centre, is a registered charity founded in 2008 which provides accredited interior design training, DIY workshops and upcycling courses to people who have experienced homelessness, the long term unemployed and vulnerable women.

Petit Miracles also hold upcycling workshops open to all on the first and second Saturday of the month. Find out more here.

Team Detour Cafe receive award for Best Place to Eat at H&F Brilliant Business Awards

Askew Road's Detour Cafe was another big winner, being named Best Place to Eat, after being highly commended in last year's awards. This picture shows the Detour team onstage with their trophy.

The Lyric Hammersmith however, beat local rival Bush Theatre to win Best Arts Business while Mitie, which carries out repairs and maintenance to properties across the borough was named Best Local Employer.

Before the awards were presented H&F Council Leader Stephen Cowan addressed the 75 local businesses and social enterprises shortlisted for awards.

"We want this to be the most amazing business Borough in Europe, " he said. "We think we can do it and we’ll do it with you. Let’s make H&F a place where entrepreneurs come to thrive."

This year nearly 3,000 people voted for their favourite local businesses in the H&F Brilliant Business Awards, now in their fifth year and the organisers are now hoping the 2017 Brilliant Business Awards will be even bigger.
