Help Raise the Roof for Hammersmith Hospital


Event in Chiswick aims to boost local Cancer Research

A group of volunteers in Chiswick are asking people in West London to help them "raise the roof" with a concert, auction and raffle in aid of Cancer Research at Hammersmith Hospital.

The evening kicks off at 8pm on Sept 27 at the George IV pub ar 185 Chiswick High Road.

The group, which includes cancer survivors and people who have lost loved ones to the disease, have organised an evening of live music, comedy, raffle and auction.

Tickets cost £12.50 and all the money raised will go to Cancer Research at the Hammersmith Hospital.

Ben Forster will compere the evening. As well as live music there is the award winning comedian Erich McElroy too.

Local businesses have come on board to donate prizes for the auction including: 2 x BA Flights, Disneyland Tickets, VIP tickets to ATP Tennis finals, Michael McIntyre and Cheryl Cole. As well as Meal's for Two at Sam's Brasserie, The Roebuck and Cafe Rouge. Other items in the auction include signed shirts from Fulham & QPR football teams !

It is the second event organised by the local group, Raise the Roof, and they are hoping for a good show of local support. They are hoping to beat last years total raised on the night of £6500.
