Two youths injured in fight near Westfield
The boy stabbed in Shepherd's Bush yesterday (Sunday 13th June) is now reported to be in a stable condition.
Two 16 year old boys were found with knife wounds near Shepherd's Bush Central line tube station and the Westfield Shopping Centre by police who were called to the incident at around 12.45am on Saturday, 12th June.
Initially one of the stabbed youths was described as being in a critical condition in the South London hospital to which he had been taken. The second 16-year-old youth was found nearby suffering a stab wound to the arm. He was arrested and taken to a central London hospital. He has now been discharged from hospital and bailed, pending further inquiries, to a date in July.
Police believe an altercation took place involving around five youths. Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Shepherd's Bush Underground station remained open, but the Overground station was closed until midday on Saturday. The station has now re-opened.
