Two men stole cash from security custodian outside bank

Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward following a cash in transit robbery in Scrubs Lane, NW10 on Thursday, April 17.

Police say they were called to reports of a robbery outside a bank on Scrubs Lane at approximately 2pm.

A security custodian had parked his vehicle outside the bank and was in the process of making a delivery when he was approached by two men wearing balaclavas.

He was pushed to the ground and dropped the cash box. One of the men picked up the box and the two men made off in a black BMW X3 which headed south bound along Scrubs Lane.

The custodian sustained a graze to his arm and did not require medical assistance.

Detective Constable Danny Lynch says: " This robbery took place in broad day light and there were a number of people who would have witnessed it or would have seen the vehicle making an escape.

" I would urge anyone with any information to please come forward and assist us with our enquiries."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Putney Flying Squad on 0208 785 8655 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
