Man from Blythe Road Charged with Rape


80 year-old woman attacked during burglary

A man from Blythe Road has been charged with rape after an 80 year-old woman was attacked during a burglary in West London on Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police say the pensioner was attacked at about 8am on August 16, but did not suffer any serious injuries.

Robert Lashley, 32, of Blythe Road, Hammersmith, has been charged with rape and burglary and was remanded in custody.

He appeared at a short hearing at Hammersmith Magistrates' Court on Monday August 18. He was remanded in custody and committed to return to Isleworth Crown Court on September 2.
