Police warn public not to approach Cantwell, wanted on recall to prison

Police in Islington are appealing for the public's help in locating a man wanted on recall to prison.

Raymond Cantwell, 43 had been released on licence from prison following a sentence for a GBH in 2002 at a pub in Askew Road in Shepherd's Bush.

He was last seen in the Highbury area of Islington on July 7, but has links to the Hammersmith and Fulham area and West London.

Cantwell is white, around 6ft 1inch tall with cropped hair and has a distinctive large scar on his chin and tattoo on right forearm of a rose with words 'Mum and Dad'.

Police say the public should not approach him and if they see him should call 999.
