Teenager Stabbed in Uxbridge Road on Wednesday

Youth suffers non life-threatening injuries in third recent knife attack

The victim, in his late teens, was injured  after an argument broke out between two men in Shepherd’s Bush around 8.30pm on Wednesday.

A Met Police spokeswoman confirmed: " We were called at 8.30pm to reports of a stabbing on Uxbridge Road.

" A man in his late teens was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. There have been no arrests and enquiries are continuing."

Witness James Buchanan told the Standard he was with friends when he saw the fight break out.

He said: " I was sitting in the pub having a couple of beers with friends when a guy went past on a bike.

" He got into a bit of a scuffle with the guy and he stabbed him in the side, it was shocking.

" There were quite a lot of people around and it was in broad daylight, these kids just don’t care."

This incident follows the horrific attack on July 3, when 17 year-old Folajimi Orebiyi was stabbed and killed in Notting Hill as he tried to flee a gang of youths on bikes on Portobello Road. Four teens, two aged 15 and two aged 16, have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of his murder.

In a third incident on the evening of June 27, a teenager believed to be aged 19 was stabbed after a fight broke out during the evening rush hour outside Hammersmith Bus Station.

Police and paramedics said they were called to reports of a disturbance at around 5.30pm. The teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance with non life-threatening injuries.
