A 22-year-old man who lives on Fulham Place Road has appeared in court in connection with a recent fatal shooting in West Kensington.
Khuedr Al Kurdi was arrested on Monday 8 April and has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Janayo Lucima who was shot dead over the Easter weekend in West Kensington.
On Monday April 8, Mr Al Kurdi appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to next appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday April 10.
22-year-old Muktar Said from W14 and a 17-year-old boy from the Neasden area were charged on Tuesday, 9 April with murder and are also due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
Mr. Lucima was found injured on Comeragh Road at around 10:15pm on Monday 1 April, and despite efforts by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene just before 11pm.
A post-mortem examination took place on Wednesday April 3 and gave cause of death as a gunshot injury.
He had recently been released from a Young Offenders’ Institution after being convicted of perverting the court of justice for his part in dismembering and disposing of the body of murdered jazz musician William ‘Blaise’ Algar.
