Ribbon to Be Cut at New Lidl Store at 8am on Thursday

Customers promised exclusive deals and offers at West 12 Centre supermarket

Residents of Shepherd's Bush are invited by supermarket Lidl to come along to the ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new store in the West 12 centre at 8am on Thursday, 22 February.

The store says customers will have the chance to sample some of its award winning products throughout the day, along with exclusive deals and offers on selected products, such as food processors and flat bed trolleys during the first week of opening.

The new store, on the ground floor of the centre, on the site formerly housing Morrisons, promises facilities such as an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing, and self-service checkouts.

The new supermarket, which forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK has created 40 new jobs for the local community.

Lidl UK’s Regional Head of Property, Shane O’Farrell says: "We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Shepherd’s Bush.

"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community."

Lidl's arrival is also a major boost for the West 12 Centre, on the south side of Shepherd's Bush Green.
