The Duchess of Cambridge Closes

With lease on Goldhawk Road premises up for sale

The Duchess of Cambridge pub, on the corner of Goldhawk Road and Stamford Brook Road, has closed with the leasehold premises now up for sale.

Managers Ruth Boult and Simon Waind informed dismayed customers the pub had closed on its Facebook page with this appropriate sign.

The message said that Simon had moved on to a new business, the The Boater in Bath.

Hopefully though, the pub will soon reopen under new management, as the lease is available through agents Davis Coffer Lyons, who describe it as a "public house with beer garden, rooms and substantial trade kitchen."

The description continues: "Ground floor extends to c.2,615sqft and bar provides in excess of 100 seats. First floor funcion is c.602sqft and has own bar. Beer garden to rear and 4-bedroom accommodation is also within the demise. Substantial basement space included."
