Move comes following council's sale of Fulham Town Hall
Hammersmith and Fulham Register Office has now moved to Hammersmith Town Hall in King Street.
Anyone wishing to register a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership must now visit the town hall on King Street, Hammersmith, and not Fulham Town Hall.
The new Hammersmith Town Hall Register Office also hosts citizenship services, civil partnership ceremonies, marriage vows renewals, naming ceremonies and a nationality checking service.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council recently agreed to sell Fulham Town Hall in order to reduce its historic debt and is in the process of moving all staff out of the building and into other council properties.
Fulham Town Hall will now be turned into a "lifestyle emporium" including shops, a restaurant and new homes by the new owners, American leisure and retail group Dorey Ventures.
Cllr Greg Smith, cabinet member for residents’ services, said: “The Register Office plays a hugely important part in local life, used by residents at times of great happiness as well as sad times. We are delighted that we will continue to offer this vital service from refurbished offices at Hammersmith Town Hall.”
