Create a Summer Wardrobe at TRAID's Late Night Opening

You can also book a place at charity shop's free Sew Good workshop

TRAID’s charity shop at 154 Uxbridge Road is offering Shepherd's Bush shoppers the opportunity to create a fabulous and sustainable summer wardrobe on Thursday April 3, 6.30pm till 9pm.

Enjoy live tunes played by the shop's DJ at the recently refurbished storeas you browse for the best in hand-picked second hand clothes, vintage and shoes.

TRAID’s staff and stylists will be on hand to share their ideas on how to create a sustainable wardrobe to make the most of second hand finds.

The TRAID team will also be running a free Sew Good workshop transforming waste denim into a gorgeous rucksack. Sewing machines, denim and expertise will be provided with the team on hand to teach all the sewing and skills needed to up-cycle waste, and why treating clothing more sustainably is so important.

TRAID will also be asking people to sign up to the #secondhandfirst pledge asking customers to commit to ensuring a percentage of their wardrobe comes from sustainable sources like charity shops and swapping.

This is the second in a series of late night openings run by TRAID in 2014 which will feature special events including talks, films, workshops and a fashion show.

Booking is essential for the workshop as space is limited. If you are interested in taking part please email: sewgood@traid.org.uk to book a place.
