Get Involved in the Great Daffodil Appeal

Support Marie Curie Nurses' work helping terminally ill people

Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal is now running in Hammersmith and Fulham and the charity is asking local people to make a donation and wear a daffodil pin to support people with terminal illnesses.

The Great Daffodil Appeal runs throughout March and is Marie Curie’s biggest fundraiser. All the funds raised from the appeal will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.

Arlene Main, Community Fundraiser for London said:" We need everyone in London to get behind the appeal by donating and wearing one of our daffodil pins during March. Every penny you can give is vital in helping Marie Curie Nurses provide more care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes, as well as emotional support for their families.”

Daffodil pins can be picked up from Marie Curie volunteer collectors, local stores and Marie Curie Shops throughout March.

There are also lots of Great Daffodil Appeal fundraising events to get involved in locally including collections at:

Saturday March 15 - Hammersmith Street Collection- Daffodil Day

Saturday March 8 and 22 - Kings Mall Hammersmith

As well as local volunteer collectors, Marie Curie will be supported by the Lions Clubs of the British Isles and Ireland in March, with hundreds of collections being held by Lions Club members across the country on behalf of the charity.
