Which Community Is The Most Content?

Survey reveals people's perceptions of their local area

A survey published this week by a government agency has revealed people's perceptions of their local area and the local services they receive.

The results showed that overall Londoners were the least content with their lot and that the further north you went, the happier the folk became.

Locally figures showed that residents living in Wandsworth Borough were the most content with 85.4% of respondents saying their local area was a nice place to live.

Ealing residents are the ones that feel that most parents take responsibility for their children's behaviour but it was those who live in Hounslow that felt they most belonged to their neighbourhoods.

More people believed there is a problem with people not treating each other with respect and consideration in Hammersmith & Fulham than in neighbouring boroughs.

The prize for the most content London community went to Richmond.

Below is a summary of some of the survey's responses.
