If you’re a fan of trying new foods and sampling exotic cuisine then the latest addition to the Hammersmith restaurant scene is going to be right up your street.

Named after a city in central Vietnam, Da Nang Kitchen is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant that aims to present diners with all the enticing tastes and smells of a vibrant Vietnamese street market. It was opened in July this year by two sisters and their friend - while the head chef is the husband of one of the sisters, making it very much a family venture.

The four business partners - who all originally hail from Vietnam - share a life-long love of good food and fresh ingredients and decided to bring their passion and knowledge of Eastern food to West London. Although there has been a boom in Vietnamese restaurants in East London in recent years, West London had been missing out.

The enticing menu boasts a wide variety of choices from fresh and fragrant fish dishes to aromatic soups, crispy spring rolls, plates of sweet and sticky noodles, tender slices of marinated pork and chicken, and plenty of crunchy vegetables. And there’s plenty of choice for vegetarians, too: everything from chilli battered tofu and shitake mushrooms to Vietnamese vermicelli rolls wrapped in rice paper.

And, if you’d rather sample the delights of Vietnamese food from the comfort of your own sofa, you’ll be pleased to know that - as of the 19th November - Da Nang Kitchen will also be offering a takeaway service with free delivery within a 2 mile radius.

The Chef, Nhan Ngo, has previously run successful restaurants in Balham and Dulwich, both of which have now been passed down to younger members of the family. Mangosteen, in Dulwich is a firm favourite with locals and has been featured in both Time Out Magazine and the Good Food Guide. The four business partners have similar hopes for the future of Da Nang Kitchen.
